About Valentina Shah

Valentina Shah grew up in Rome and began jet-setting at a very young age. A noble upbringing exposed Shah to many iconic socialites and international stars early on, sparking an interest in fashion, and she further developed her innate sense of style as an international business development executive with global fashion companies.
As a child, Shah would peek down on glamorous parties thrown by her parents, catch- ing glimpses of style icons like Sophia Loren and Robert De Niro. And her grandmother, a matriarch from Italy’s noble Caracciolo family, wore an impressive array of the era’s most gorgeous haute couture, including Shubert, Forelle Fontana, Chanel, Lancetti, Dior, Emilio Pucci and Yves Saint Laurent.
Shah has served as an international ambassador for a who’s who of premium American brands—Elie Tahari, Rag & Bone, ALC, Cynthia Vincent, Mike & Chris, and more— and is now tapping her industry experience and taste for style to launch her own. A dream team of designers from labels like Versace, Max Azria, Dolce Gabbana and Armani, led by Shah, is turning out a modern collection with a European sensibility.
Valentina Shah focuses on detail in the most modern form while maintaining a classic appeal. The collection embodies feminine sophistication while staying true to the needs of the modern woman.
“The most fashionable style is your attitude” - Valentina Shah
“I wake up every day and want to ‘play’ a different character... Powerful one day, hip New York the next, femme fatal,” says Shah who was raised between Rome, London, and Miami. “The collection reflects the lifestyle of the modern woman. She is sophisticated, feminine, and fearless.”
A blazer boosts a woman’s confidence on how she feels about herself and how she will own the world: Don't mess with a woman in a blazer, she's fierce, unstoppable and doesn't tolerate any nonsense from anyone. She is on fire and determined to accomplish her goals.
Valentina Shah collection is designed and manufactured in Italy. Her family’s factories specialize since 1973 in high-quality apparel manufacturing.
Born in the US and raised in Italy, the designer, Valentina Shah is dedicated to one venture: taking an iconic jacket and interpreting the feminine side of tailoring with a modern vision.
Over the decades, the blazer has become an essential piece in every woman’s wardrobe.
  • The 1870’s: Sarah Bernhardt wore a custom-made blazer to blur gender roles while trying out for Hamlet
  • The 1900’s: Coco Chanel designed her first suit
  • The 1930’s: Marlena Dietrich wore a tuxedo jacket for all her stage performances
  • The 1960’s: Yves Sant Laurent designed the Le Smoking Jacket that is still worn today
  • The 1980’s: The decade of the “Power Suit.”
  • Present Day: The Blazer has become a staple in each women’s closet. From Hillary Clinton to your next door neighbor.
A classic blazer is one of the most versatile closet staples with many ways to wear it in any occasion. Blazers can instantly change the tone of outfits to suit each occasion perfectly.
Our mission is to bring back the old-world Italian luxury and craftsmanship and translate it into to modern wardrobe,” Shah says. “The line will appeal to the woman today who wants style, comfort, design, and functionality—all at a moderate price-point.
Passion, culture, and expertise since 1973.
